Music
Below is a brief showcase of released albums and some of my bands. There's also some previously unreleased music — and a selection of sheet music available for download.
But first, some tunes to get you started:
Albums
Below are five albums from the period with the Simon Jensen Band (2003–2008), Tangle (2008–2010), Carrilho Jensen Nyberg (September 2009), and Grovjobb (1997–2002).
I have also participated both live and as a studio musician on some albums not included here.

Reviews etc.
Many reviews existed only in print (1998–2005), and some have disappeared from the internet over the years. Never mind, though. Below are some nice opinions from real listeners, and such utterances always outweigh professional reviewers' attempts to write something "learned."

Selected bands
Below are some of the bands I have played with over the years. At the height of my activity, I played 30 to 40 concerts a year. Recorded tracks were needed to get these gigs. You can hear some of this material below, and 14 of the tunes are included on the compilation album Flute Flashes 2004–2009, which was released in January 2026:

The bands below are listed in reverse chronological order.

Advokatbyrån Götherskjöld & JensenThe duo Advokatbyrån Götherskjöld & Jensen (Advokatbyrån means The law firm) existed 2011‐2012. Mats Götherskjöld is a brilliant guitarist and singer-songwriter with a humourous performance style (check him out on Spotify). This project was very entertaining. TangleThe band Tangle existed during the period 2008–2010 with the permanent members Simon K. Jensen (flute), Björn Nyberg (bass), Svenna Granit (electric guitar), and Håkan Åkerblom (drums). Other members who participated during various periods were Mårten Larsson (trumpet), Philip Mauritzson (tenor saxophone), and Emma Svensson (tenor saxophone). Tangle’s songs were usually created through jam sessions in the rehearsal room. Listen to 6 tracks: www.simonjensen.com/music#Tangle |

Carrilho Jensen NybergThe trio Carrilho Jensen Nyberg existed for a couple of weeks in the autumn of 2009 while the Brazilian guitarist Frederick Carrilho was visiting me in Gothenburg. We studied various musical traditions and played each other’s works. Before Fred left, we collaborated with the electronic sound master Björn Nyberg in his studio. The result can be heard below (also check out Björn on Spotify). Listen to 4 tracks: www.simonjensen.com/music#CJN |

Simon Jensen BandThe band existed with two different line-ups during the period 2003–2008. The first line-up was Simon K. Jensen (flute), Per Fenger-Krog (piano, organ), Peter Nilsson (bass), and Oskar Bergenheim (drums). This was the group that recorded the debut album All You Can Eat in 2005: Listen on Spotify Listen on YouTube The second line-up consisted of Simon K. Jensen (flute), Jack Andersson (acoustic guitar), Daniel Jägerholt (electric guitar), Marcello Musumeci (bass), and Lars Rosengren (drums, percussion). A few tracks were released informally in the summer of 2007, but this material is now available on the album Flute Flashes 2004–2009. Listen to 7 tracks: www.simonjensen.com/music#SJB |

någonThe band någon (yes, with a lowercase n, meaning someone) was active 2000–2003 and consisted of Simon K. Jensen (flute), Joel Gröndahl (tenor saxophone, bass clarinet), Erik Fridell (accordion), Per Fenger-Krog (piano, organ, bass), and Carl Söderström (bass, harmonica). It was five strong personalities in a circus-like formation, brimming with youthful energy. The first three tracks below were recorded in a professional and expensive studio, where the band had booked exactly two hours, starting at 10 a.m. — we arrived 25 minutes late, and two of us had been partying hard until five that morning. Somehow, despite this, the result turned out remarkably well. Listen to 5 tracks: www.simonjensen.com/music#nagon |

Solo tunes etc. Here are some solo recordings from the past, as well as a song by the Danish band Patricia Painting, which I co-founded and played with during the wildest years of my youth, from 1993 to 1996. Listen to 5 tracks: www.simonjensen.com/music#solo |
